Chirping Building

A building becomes an unconscious urban sensor. Its staircase
lights, connected to passing trains, reveal themselves as a
language.
Their switching on and off trace phrases, anticipations, pauses,
and returns—an underground dialogue between architecture
and infrastructure.
The Chirping Building, situated at the edge of the railways,
absorbs and translates the vibrations of passing trains into
visual signs.
Man no longer controls the machine; the city expresses itself
through its technical fabric. The staircase becomes an external
metronome:
a sudden pause, an unexpected re-ignition, an asynchrony
between floors—everything becomes signal, everything becomes
form.
Or perhaps it is nothing more than a technical anomaly, a
random fault that has taken the shape of rhythm.
