Our research focuses on those spaces of the city that, born with a precise intent of use, they have acquired their own identity thanks to an unexpected social interaction; or on those marginal sites in central areas that have been left aside and get undefined in the absence of interactions. Starting from our studio’s surroundings we explore the spontaneous and uncontrollable transformation processes that could change these "non-places" into precise and characterized sites. Our aim is to identify these "transformed" or "transforming" urban spaces and strengthen their "new identity" with site-specific actions. We try to dig out the "genius loci" of each place through our work.
